Other's Projects

I've been seeing other people posting really cool projects, and honestly have been getting jealous. I thought, damn, I wish I could work on cool projects. But I don't have time because I'm doing contract work with my best friend on low level embedded software for one of the coolest music hardware companies.

Then I realized what I just said to myself.

Any way, just a short post on this thought I had. I guess I need to not worry about things and look at what I already have. Here's some links to share from my backlog:

A recent link is the Hacker News Book Map. I don't follow HN any more, it's a firehose of stuff I don't have time for, and I don't even want to see the comments. But I love sites like this that are like a visual map of things. Some interesting books, but being Hacker News there's also the kind of books you'd expect (good but also others cringe).

A similar recent link is One million (small web) screenshots. A giant map of a million small web sites you can search or zoom in on.

A saved link for today is GifCities, Geocities animated gif search from the Internet Archive.
